This summer, NYC Parks and The Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment will host family-friendly movie showings across the five boroughs.Imaginative and enthralling romantic drama about a rustic Sicilian widower (Vincenzo Amato) who gets involved with a mysterious, aristocratic Englishwoman (Charlotte Gainsbourg) on an immigrant ship en route to America in 1904. The film title refers to the metaphoric passage made by passengers through Ellis Island and into the New World. Written and directed by Emanuele Crialese. Also known as "Nuovomondo."Rated PG-13: Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13. Parents are urged to be cautious.Movies begin at dusk. This event is FREE and open to the public.
